Children's Mental Health Awareness Day

Several publications call attention to Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day on Wednesday, May 9th.  DC Action for Children has a released a data snapshot, “Children’s Mental Health in DC: The Mismatch Between Need and Treatment,” and highlighted the D.C. Behavioral Health Association as a guest blogger


DC Action for Children and the Georgia Avenue Family Support Collaborative are also hosting a community action forum for Ward 4 residents who want to advocate for neighborhood children.  It will take place on Wednesday, May 16th from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at the Petworth Library.  Details and RSVP information in flier linked here.  


In addition, the Children’s Law Center released an in-depth report on children’s mental health needs in the District.
