A new poll conducted on behalf of the D.C. Fiscal Policy Institute finds that D.C. residents are opposed to cutting mental health services for people with severe mental health conditions.  At least 81% of those surveyed say that cuts to mental health services are unacceptable.  This exceeded the number of D.C. residents concerned about cuts to public safety or education.
Among poll respondents, 57% indicated that such cuts to mental health services are "totally unacceptable."
