A recent report by a federal advisory committee identifies the need to improve managed care plans' performance on mental health.  The D.C. Behavioral Health Association, which chairs the behavioral health subcommittee of the Medical Care Advisory Committee, released the report.
The report finds that nearly 9 in 10 managed care beneficiaries experiencing a mental health condition do not receive treatment for it.  The report offers six recommendations to improve the performance of D.C. Medicaid managed care plans on mental health services.
